PROGENESIS
A fine-screened, peat-free propagation substrate built for clean seed contact, even cell filling, balanced moisture movement, and steady oxygen availability in trays and plug systems.
TerraRoot Labs™ produces small-batch, peat-free substrate systems for propagation, container crops, and collector tropical plants. Every formulation is mixed by measured formula, mechanically screened, and built around repeatable root-zone structure.
Screened aggregate classes are selected for each product so the finished mix has a consistent texture profile for its intended use.
Biochar and volcanic zeolite are included as carbon and mineral components that support a more stable container media profile.
Each mix is built to balance moisture movement and open pore space when used in containers or trays with proper drainage.
A fine-screened, peat-free propagation substrate built for clean seed contact, even cell filling, balanced moisture movement, and steady oxygen availability in trays and plug systems.
A peat-free structural crop substrate built for container vegetables, peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and other fruiting plants that need stable pore space through repeated watering.
A chunky, peat-free tropical substrate built for collector aroids and other tropical plants that prefer fast drainage, open structure, and steady oxygen around the roots.
TerraRoot Labs™ substrate systems are built from disclosed ingredient classes including coco-based organic structure, screened horticultural perlite, biochar, natural volcanic zeolite, earthworm castings, and product-specific fertility amendments where appropriate. Exact ratios and processing sequences remain proprietary.
Coco-based organic structure and screened perlite fractions create the physical foundation for air space, drainage, and moisture balance.
Biochar and volcanic mineral inputs are included to support media structure, retention, and a more stable container root-zone profile.
Earthworm castings are screened and incorporated as an organic amendment across the substrate line.
TerraRoot Labs™ formulations use mechanically screened aggregate fractions to support repeatable structure across propagation, container agriculture, and collector tropical environments.
Biochar is included as a carbon component within the finished media structure.
Screened aggregate classes help maintain an open physical profile through normal watering and dry-back cycles.
Volcanic zeolite is included as a mineral component within the substrate profile.
TerraRoot Labs™ formulations are mechanically graded through calibrated screening processes designed to isolate practical particle-size classes. The reference images below use the metric side of a ruler, so the size callouts are listed as nominal screen-class ranges rather than exact particle guarantees. Because expanded perlite varies naturally in shape and fracture pattern, our grading targets functional architectural ranges that reduce excessive fines and help preserve open pore structure.
Fine-graded structural aggregates screened above the fines cutoff and below the coarse class. Built for plug trays, cell trays, and early root development where close seed contact still matters.
Mid-range aggregate sizing screened between the micro and macro classes. Built for container production where drainage, moisture retention, and root-zone oxygen need to stay balanced.
Large-profile aggregate structures retained above the coarse screen class. Built to maintain open pore space and strong drainage pathways for sensitive epiphytic root zones.
